Recently I took and passed the AI-102 Exam, Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution – which earns the Certification Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate. I must admit, I have found the AI exams to be challenging, as they are a totally new topic to me, requiring time spent reading the learning materials, as well as creating test and demo environments to help cement my knowledge. I’ve put this short post together to list out the Resources I used to study, to help others looking to take this exam.
Resources
- AI-102 Study Guide – This is an important document to read before going for the exam – it’ll help give an idea of the focus areas and provides a list of the skills measured and focus areas: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/certifications/resources/study-guides/ai-102
- Microsoft Learn – Learning Paths. There is a huge range of learning paths for this exam – and these are very useful for exam preparation: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/exams/ai-102/?tab=tab-learning-paths
- Microsoft Learn – Practice Assessment. This assessment really helps to give you a feel of the type and style of question that will come up in the exam: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-gb/certifications/exams/ai-102/practice/assessment?assessment-type=practice&assessmentId=61
- Microsoft Learning – AI Engineer Exercises. These were absolutely brilliant for my preparation and helped me cover many of the learning objectives in my own Lab Environment, at my own pace: https://microsoftlearning.github.io/AI-102-AIEngineer/
- AI-102 Exam Prep Video – https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/shows/exam-readiness-zone/preparing-for-ai-102-plan-and-manage-an-azure-ai-solution-1-of-5
- AI-900 – If you haven’t sat this exam already, I’d recommend going for this Exam and Certification before doing AI-102. The foundation AI-900 gives is very useful for AI-102 – https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/certifications/exams/ai-900/.
As always, real experience and using your own Lab environment was hugely helpful for this exam – I found creating some of the scenarios outlined in the Learn Modules in my own lab helped massively. I’d also recommend spending time running through the Microsoft Learn Practice Questions, these give a great idea of the type and style of question you can expect on the exam. Good luck!
